The scope of the Dhlamini Junction Electrical Works covered the complete electrical installation for the shopping centre, including:
- White box installations for line shops
- Full electrical installations for anchor tenants like Shoprite, Easy Build, OBC, and Polar Ice Cream
- Supply and installation of MV units and cables
- Connection of generators for the centre and Shoprite
- Power supply for all air conditioning units
While similar to other retail projects, the scale and coordination across multiple tenants made this development a significant undertaking requiring careful planning and precise execution.
Technical Execution
The project’s technical complexity was considerable. Managing MV cabling, DB boards, generators, and lighting installations across the centre required meticulous attention to detail.
Future scalability and load capacity were planned with the electrical engineer, ensuring that each system can handle expansion as the shopping centre grows.
For tenants such as Easy Build, unique light fitting installations were required, while other tenants followed standard procedures.

Strong communication and quick decision-making were crucial, especially during the installation of high-level lights at the Shoprite entrance, where timing was tight before scaffolding removal.

- A dedicated SHE representative onsite
